The gala is an evening of fun and fundraising with the goal of supporting the mission of the Newman Catholic Center at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. Activities include a keynote address by Bishop Johnston, a wine and beer social, entertainment, dinner, a silent auction, and a live auction.

Why do we need your support?
The Newman Center is not a social club, but a mission of the Catholic Church. We are responsible for reaching 1200-1500 Catholic souls each year with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as reaching out to the other 4500 students on campus whom God desires to know, love, and serve Him. Like a parish, we have Masses, Confession, Small Group Bible Studies, Retreats, Service Opportunities, and much more. Unlike a parish, we do not have a regular base of funds from our members (they’re college students!). College is the most vital time where we can reach someone who might otherwise slip away from their faith. The Newman Center is not only here to keep them Catholic, but to send them into their vocations and into their future parishes on fire for their Catholic Faith. Every dollar we raise helps make this task possible!
What is the Cost?
$50/plate, $300/table (7 persons). Special sponsorship levels available.
How will the funds be used?
Money raised from ticket sales, silent auction, live auction and other event activities will be directed to the general fund of the Newman Catholic Center, which supports our events and programming, reaching students for Jesus and His Church.

Check with your employer, friends and family to find out if they can donate items for our silent auction. Popular items include: restaurant gift cards, vacations, sports memorabilia or sporting event tickets. Good rule of thumb: if you would bid on it yourself, it would likely make a good silent auction item. Donation acknowledgement forms are available from the Newman Center for tax purposes.
