This year, the Murray Family and DPD are celebrating a very important milestone – the 50th Annual Murray House Dinner Dance! This special event will celebrate many of the individuals who have made a difference in the agency throughout the last 50 years. through our lifetime achievement awards.

The 50th Annual Murray House Dinner Dance will be held on Sunday, February 16th at the Brownstone in Paterson. For this one year, we are going to make the event extra special – it will be a full deluxe cocktail reception. We are hoping that you can make this our most successful Murray House Dinner Dance ever, by purchasing tickets to the event or by taking out a sponsorship. It is our goal to fill the Brownstone, and your support is greatly appreciated!

Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients:
On February 16th, DPD Catholic Charities, will be celebrating our very special 50th Annual Murray House Dinner Dance.

For this one year only, we have changed the format of our awards presentations. This year, we are going to give out a series of Lifetime Achievement Awards, in several different categories listed below.

The awards are being presented in Jimmie Murray’s memory. Jimmie, who happened to have intellectual disabilities, was the inspiration behind the Department for Persons with Disabilities; over 50 years ago. Jimmie’s family have honored his legacy through their continued involvement and philanthropy.

These individuals and organizations have been chosen by the Murray Family and DPD leadership for making a life-changing difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You’ll notice a distinguished list of honorees: service recipients, staff members, volunteers, Murray Family members, community groups, Diocese of Paterson leadership and dear friends. Just know that these select individuals have been chosen from a pool of hundreds of thousands who have been part of DPD through the years.

Beloved Service Recipients
The individuals who live in DPD’s group homes, work at Gruenert Center, are served by our Support Coordination Program, or who are helped in any other way are the heart and soul of DPD’s important ministry. DPD is honoring the 3 remaining “original” Murray House residents: Robert, Billy and Terry.
