Based on the revised translation of the Mass, this five-part program takes participants on an exciting tour of the Liturgy as it explores the biblical roots of the words and gestures we experience at Mass and explains their profound significance. See, perhaps for the first time, why we say what we say and do what we do every week at Mass. The words and gestures will be seen in a new light, giving new life to the liturgical experience. The five-part series is based on a book by Dr. Edward Sri. Dr. Sri is a theologian, author and well-known Catholic speaker who appears regularly on EWTN. Each year he speaks to clergy, parish leaders, catechists and laity from around the world. We will meet on the following Wednesdays during Lent: February 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21. The program will begin with a soup supper at 6:00 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. we will view a 30-minute video on a part of the Mass followed by a 30 minute small group discussion. Each evening will conclude by 7:30 p.m. Please RSVP in one of the following ways: Call John Cooper at the parish office, 563-322-3303 (leave a message), email davstanthonypa@diodav.org, or simply stop by the information table at the entrance of church before or after Mass.
