Imago Dei—Image of God: Initiative for Racial Reconciliation
Join us for a 5-part Lenten series devoted to racial reconciliation with expert presenters. Sundays at 11:00am from February 18 to March 18.
The Basilica of Saint Mary is dedicated to the eradication of racism and seeks to become a community of racial reconciliation.
Dr. Amy Levad, associate professor of moral theology at the University of St. Thomas, will present an advocacy toolkit for racial reconciliation, inviting parishioners to think about how to incorporate advocacy for racial justice into their own lives. In addition to informing the group about matters currently being discussed at the state and national levels, she will provide practical information about how to write letters to editors of newspapers, how to call and speak to state and federal legislators about racial issues, and more.
