The Basic Teachings of the Catholic Faith serves as the first step in basic adult formation for all ministry groups that seek evangelization and catechetical certification. It is a general introduction to the theological principles found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It includes Introduction to the Sacred Scriptures; The Creed; Liturgy and Sacraments; Christian Morality; Prayer and Spirituality. Each of the five segments requires 6 hours of instruction, distributed in 3 classes of 2 hours. The total duration of the course is 30 hours. Students must complete all five classes in order to receive a certificate of completion.
