We’re great at doing things for Christ, but we sometimes struggle with slowing down long enough to listen so we can follow the voice of God. Silence in our prayer is the difference between “saying prayers” and “talking with God” who has so much to say to us! Through story-telling, scripture, and humor, we’ll break open the power, art, and challenge of sitting still.
Lorraine Hess is a singer, composer, retreat facilitator, and recording artist with World Library Publications. She has served in music ministry for thirty years, and is Director of Music Ministry at Divine Mercy Parish in Kenner, LA. She has released several CDs of original liturgical and inspirational music. She has been married to her husband Rob since 1990, and they are proud parents of four sons, their greatest vocation.
