Do you think in pictures or learn best visually? Maybe you have an analytical mind and love studying words? Are you a creative thinker or doodler? Have you ever wondered how to interpret the Bible as a Catholic, or whether or not we’re even supposed to try? If you answered yes to ANY of the above questions, this workshop is for you!
Verse Mapping will help you gain confidence in picking up a Bible and reading a passage for understanding and reflection, according to the guidelines of the Church! Explore resources which help you arrive at the literal meaning of a verse, and then practice a creative* way of visually breaking it down and diagramming your reflections to gain a deeper meaning of the personal application for your life.
*Creative can mean doodling and drawing, or it can mean just using color to underline and circle. Artistic ability not required!
Resources/materials provided. (Bringing a personal tablet/laptop will help you research at your own pace with online resources.) To RSVP or receive email updates on future workshops, contact Tessa Roberts: 577-1764 or tessar@stmarysdsm.org.
