Join us for our final Theology on Tap event of the semester, Thursday, April 24!

Theology on Tap will begin at 9:00 pm, immediately following our normal 8:15 pm Mass as part of our weekly Catholic Mavs night.

SPEAKERS: Bo Bonner and Dr. Bud Marr

TITLE OF TALK: When standing tough isn’t enough: Becoming Anti-Fragile Disciples in the Modern Secular World.

Modern life has a way of corroding supportive relationships and distracting us from the practices of the faith. Yet, God is still calling laborers, if we will only hear his voice. How do we heed that call? Rather than trying to figure out the future, our goal should be to forge anti-fragile communities focused solely on the glory of God.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS: Bo Bonner & Dr. Bud Marr host a Catholic Radio show called the Uncommon Good, which airs Wednesdays at 10AM and 10PM and covers topics regarding Catholic Social teaching, Servant Leadership and the Social Reign of Jesus Christ. Bo has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Oklahoma State University and a M.Div. in theology from Duke Divinity School. He teaches philosophy, servant leadership and bioethics at the Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Bud Marr has a bachelor’s in theological studies from John Brown University, an M.Div from Duke Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University. He is currently the Director of the National Institute for Newman Studies in Pittsburgh, PA.
