“Orange Crush: A critical juncture for the Church in Orange County and what the laity can do to remain on the straight and narrow path.”
Sometimes referred to as the “Orange Curtain,” to denote its more conservative and suburban population as compared to the more liberal and urban population of Los Angeles, Orange County was once a bastion of conservatism. These conservative roots gave rise to some of the nation’s first Protestant “mega-churches,” These theologically more liberal mega-churches, however, have had a detrimental impact on the Catholic faith. Voris will also discuss our baptismal call and obligation to grow in personal holiness while combating heresies and abuses that have infiltrated the Church.
