LIVE from Parent Cafe on Wednesday Nights during Lent…
Our Adult Faith Formation Director and special guests will take 10-ish minutes each week to chat about various lenten topics that can influence and enhance family life. (See dates & topics below). And you can check out these short talks from your smartphone, tablet or computer wherever you are, whenever you want! So you can watch live at 5:45 pm, later during the 7 pm faith formation session, or later in the week while you wait for your child’s practice to finish up… the video will just be a saved post at St. Mary of Nazareth – Des Moines.
Another really cool thing – you can engage with the interactive chat no matter when you watch it. Watching live? You’re comments and questions will pop up so the host can respond during the broadcast. Watching a replay? Reactions & comments from viewers will pop up for you at the same time as when they appeared in the original broadcast. You can also post your own comments or questions, and the conversation can continue long after the live broadcast has ended.

(Interactive, at-home activities for kids that foster a hope-full way of reflecting on & living in response to Jesus’ sacrifice: fostering giving rather grabbing, self-sacrifice rather than self-preservation.)
Wed Feb 28—Thoughts from the Pastor
(Hear Fr. Greg’s stories of meaningful lenten traditions from his
childhood. He’ll take questions in the comment box too, so ask
anything you’d like to know about lent or our faith in general!)
Wed Mar 7 — Parenting with the Heart of Jesus
(Family life is hard & messy – a God-designed training ground for the
Christian way of love. Does faith influence your parenting approach?
Let’s talk about Catholic guidelines for loving our kids like Jesus does.)
Wed Mar 28 — Baking Treats to Tell the Easter Story
(Create hands-on-fun & faith in the kitchen this Holy Week with a
recipe for Resurrection Rolls. Watch for a step by step tutorial;
There will be yummy samples for those who stop by parent cafe
in the parish hall during faith formation sessions this night!)
