Join us on Corpus Christi as we merge the 10a and 12n Mass into one joyous celebration of the First Mass of the newly ordained Fr. Michael Cunningham, FSSP. Cunningham is a beloved local of Spartanburg who came to worship at Prince of Peace Catholic Church due to his love of the Extraordinary Form.
On Sunday, 3 June, the schedule will be as follows:
– 9.30a First Blessings from Fr. Cunningham (all are invited to receive a blessing)
– 10a Mass (Solemn High Extraordinary Form)
– Procession following Mass
– Reception in the PAC
The FSSP is the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, a Clerical Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical rite, that is, a community of Roman Catholic priests who do not take religious vows, but who work together for a common mission in the world. Fr. Cunningham will be assigned to an FSSP community.
