Each year during the solemn forty days of Lent, the Church unites herself to the mystery of Jesus in the desert. Jesus prays, fasts, and overcomes temptation in the desert. For us, Lent is a season of penance. It is a time to dive deeper into spiritual exercises and practice self-denial such as fasting, almsgiving, and charitable works.
This Lent, Father Sullivan will lead us in a three night series on the seven Sacraments, with an emphasis on reconciling, healing, and forgiving.
Father Michael Sullivan, OSA, is a native of New York City and was ordained at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. He spent eight years in parish ministry and was instrumental in establishing the Marriage Encounter movement in Delaware Valley. Now Fr. Sullivan travels the country year-round providing parishes with unique and dynamic retreats and missions.
