The Offices of Family & Respect Life are offering a Morning of Healing to support families who have experienced the loss of a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth or neo-natal death. Perinatal loss involves emotional, relational and spiritual suffering that requires assistance from family, friends and church leaders. It touches the lives of many people yet all too often this tragedy remains unspoken of. We hope this day will provide those who have been affected, a day to recognize their loss, to grieve with the support of others, gain knowledge about the process of grief and obtain related resources. The agenda for the day includes: Presentations on topics specific to perinatal loss, small group discussions, a memorial service, resources and fellowship. Most of all, we pray that those affected by this heartbreak will discover healing and hope. Babysitting, lunch and refreshments will be provided at no cost. All parents, siblings, grandparents and others who are affected by the loss of a baby are invited whether the loss was recently or long ago. When: Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 8:30am to 12:30pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield, Participants must register online at: http://Events.rcan.org/PerinatalLoss/
