The Catholic Seniors’ Conference is a hope-filled and inspiring day of faith, fellowship and inspirational talks. Mass, coffee and sweets, presentations, served lunch, the Rosary, Confession and Vendors bring the joy of living the senior life together in one event!
Though event is focused on our latter years, this event is open to people of all ages.
Event Schedule:
7:30am – Registration Opens
8:15am – Holy Mass in St. George Maronite Church celebrated by Father Patrick Martin
9:15am – Coffee and Sweets – St. George Maronite Center, Phoenician Ballroom
10:00am – Jeannette Santos, LPC, LMFT Assoc. – “God Is Close To Us” How can we deal with loss in a world that refuses to see it? Scripture tell us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; saves those whose spirit is crushed,” (Ps 34:19). Come see how all the all the losses we experience work to draw us closer to God and the fulfillment we long for.
10:40am – Break
11:00am – Father Patrick Martin – “God Redeems It All” Suffering is a place we never want to be, but always seem to find ourselves! The Church offers a rich teaching on the redemptive power of suffering. Learn how our later years offer a golden opportunity to work in God’s kingdom for our good, the good of our families and the world!
11:45am – Deacon Tom and Mary Jane Fox – Meet the Master: “Jesus, Show Me Who I Am” When you look in the mirror, you may see an old lady or an elderly man, but God sees His precious child! Learn how through prayer you can begin every day anew and end every day resurrected.
12:15pm – Lunch
12:45pm – Rosary
1:30pm – Departure
Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available for Conference participants from 1:30pm – 2:30pm.
