Lent focuses on prayer, fasting and almsgiving: all ways
of taking us inside ourselves to be renewed, and outside
ourselves to love others. The real test of Christian life, prayer and fasting is how we live our lives in the everyday. The test of Lent in the end is not what we have done for Lent, rather, what Lent has done for others through us. It is a sacred space to get in touch with Jesus, in death and resurrection of the “man for others”.
We Sisters of St. Joseph invite you, your family and your friends to join us in our monthly gathering, “Prayer for Our Times”. This prayer will be held in our Motherhouse chapel, located at 150 French Road, Rochester, NY on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 7pm to 8pm.
