You are invited to enjoy a day of retreat and spirituality hosted by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women!
Our guest speaker and retreat leader is Dr. Nadia Mitchell. Born to protestant missionary parents in Japan, she developed a deep love for Jesus at an early age. After 6 years in North Africa teaching English and serving on a Bible translation team, Nadia moved to Athens County, Ohio, and earned a PhD at Ohio University. She now works as Vice President for Research and Development for a food manufacturing company. In 2013, after an unexpected encounter with the truths of the Catholic faith, Nadia was received into the Church. Since then, forever grateful to the Lord, she has walked over 1,000 miles on pilgrimage trails.
Join us as Dr. Mitchell leads reflections throughout the day. What do Saints say are the essential elements of a walk of faith? How can we be strengthened in our spiritual journey, whether the road appears rocky or smooth? What are keys to a pilgrimage of the heart you can take without leaving your town? Nadia will share lessons learned from walking over 1,000 of classic pilgrimage trails.
