Serve as a family this Sunday. We are called to hear the voice of our Shepard and respond as his sheep. Let us enter into the suffering heart of Mary as we serve our brothers and sister who live on the streets of Skid Row.
Our weekly gatherings focus on preparing food to give our brothers and sisters on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles Skid Row community. We caravan from La Puente to Los Angeles and serve about 1,000-1,500 burritos from the sidewalks and into the streets. People of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and denominations are welcomed to serve.
Here is a schedule:
· 5:30 – 7:30 am Make burritos at St. Louis of France Mulcahy Hall Kitchen 630 Ardilla Ave. La Puente, CA 91746
·8:00 – 8:30 am Pack up, purchase water and depart
·8:45 – 10:00 am Meet at 6th and Towne (sidewalk) in Skid Row and distribute food, drinks, blankets and clothes.
